The John W. Taylor Community Opportunity Center is being developed as a community hub that will connect individuals and families with programs, resources, services, and opportunities that support learning, wellness, workforce development, and stronger communities.
Through The Power of U!, the Center will build on existing programs while creating new opportunities through partnerships and community engagement.

Child First Program
The Power of U!, Inc. is an official Child First affiliate serving families across Eastern North Carolina. Clinicians and care coordinators support young children and parents experiencing trauma, toxic stress, and early childhood mental health needs.
Substance Abuse Prevention
The Power of U! provides substance abuse prevention services across Eastern North Carolina. Specialists and clinicians identify risks early and offer prevention education and support in schools, churches, and community settings.
Juvenile Justice Partnership
The Power of U! partners with juvenile justice officers and the courts to connect at-risk youth with appropriate behavioral health services, treatment, and support as alternatives to detention when appropriate.
