Clinical Services
In addition to Power of U’s own Programs, our service-delivery partner Uplift Comprehensive Services (Uplift NC) provides a continuum of clinical and behavioral health services across Eastern North Carolina. Brief descriptions of each are below — visit Uplift NC’s site for full program details and referral information.
High-Fidelity Wraparound (HFW)
High-Fidelity Wraparound is a coordinated, family-driven model that connects youth with serious emotional disturbance, co-occurring substance use, or intellectual/developmental disabilities to the right combination of services across child welfare, juvenile justice, education, and behavioral health. Building on Uplift’s existing continuum of care — including Intensive In-Home and Child First — HFW gives families a single coordinated plan and a voice in leading it.
Intensive In-Home (IIH)
Intensive In-Home Services pair children and adolescents (through age 17) who have serious, chronic emotional, behavioral, or substance use symptoms with a dedicated clinical team available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The team works to reduce crisis symptoms, respond immediately when a crisis occurs, connect families to ongoing community resources, and help keep kids stably at home instead of in an out-of-home placement.
Juvenile Justice Intensive In-Home Transition (JJIIT)
The Juvenile Justice Intensive In-Home Transition (JJIIT) Program, operated jointly by The Power of U, Inc. and Uplift Comprehensive Services, provides intensive, family-centered mental health services to juvenile justice-involved and at-risk youth ages 7–17 across 19 counties in Eastern North Carolina. Delivered in the home, school, and community, JJIIT combines trauma-informed care, skill-building, and family strengthening with CIRCLE, a 16-week restorative peer group program culturally grounded in the lived experience of the region’s Black and Native American communities.
